2019 | Nurture

January 6, 2019 No Comments

I’m here beginning again which isn’t quite the same as a new beginning because the pieces are already in place and I’m just returning.

This year I’ve chosen a new word for myself: nurture

To nurture something you have to give yourself to it and actively support its growth and development. That’s what I intend to do here, at home and in my every day life – yes, this year I’ll be nurturing.

Before going forward though, here’s one last look at some of the golden days of 2018 and my year of CONNECTION. . .

  • I hope you’ve all had a good Monday! I honestly haven’t done much creatively lately but I wanted to say hi.
.
Two weeks ago Sunday this sweet baby hatched into my life and I’ve been playing mother duck ever since. .
The pitter-patter of little webbed feet following me everywhere I go is basically the best thing ever. 💕

  • I'm really looking forward to May. It feels like it's going to be a good month for me this year. I hope it's a good one for you too.

  • Lately, I've noticed hundreds of these little orange butterflies migrating through (painted ladies). They seem to be everywhere I go. When they stop to rest their wings I quietly tiptoe up to them to take their picture but apparently I'm really noisy because they fly off every single time. Okay, I think my shadow is what actually scares them off but either way I've been wildly unsuccessful as a butterfly photographer so I decided to illustrate the photo I didn't get instead. It's nice to see so many signs of Spring. It finally (finally!) feels like it's here to stay. What do you think? ⠀
